Artist’s Statement

This photograph distills the cultural beauty that captivated me at India’s Taj Mahal. From a perch looking down onto this scene, it was the geometrics, the color, the women that captivated me. These group of women in vibrant saris created a living art installation- a beautiful, unchoreographed dance. I was instantly drawn to the intriguing dialogue between their posture and the geometrics of the tiled floor. My travel photography is often driven by a fascination with human connection; I love observing how friends interact, often mirroring each other like birds of a feather. The iconic architecture serves as a breathtaking canvas, but the people truly define the setting.
