Artist’s Statement

Noise alludes to silencing the internal chatter and noise of anxiety when life becomes somewhat unraveled. Life often has a steady rhythm; there are moments when the tempo speeds up and moments when the tempo slows, but there are also seasons that feel completely off beat. The cyanotype process allowed for a unique form of layering through transparency and double exposure, begging viewers to look deeper into their lives to see what lies at the core when brought to the light.
