Artist’s Statement

My practice begins with an act of collecting. I am drawn to the charm and fragility of paper dolls and other forms of vintage ephemera. My work invites viewers to step into a world where nostalgia and imagination intertwine, and where meaning is continually reshaped through the act of looking.

Extraterrestrial and Celestial are from a series of collages called Apparel for Cosmic Travelers. They reflect a central idea in my work: that we are all voyagers, moving through space and history while gathering the flotsam and jetsam of our shared cultures. Rebel Women has this same theme running through it.
