Artist’s Statement

My work sits at the intersection of domestic nostalgia, pop culture rhythms, and raw psychological noise. By layering vintage textiles with aggressive ink, gestural drawing, and song titles, I examine sensory overload and the tension between curated surfaces and chaotic realities. Driven to process womanhood and find quiet within overstimulation, I create both a shield and a confession. My materials are essential: I use floral textiles not for decoration, but for reclamation. Paired with vibrating ink lines, they mirror the gendered pressure to maintain a "pretty" veneer while a complex, messy life threatens to break through the surface.
