Artist’s Statement

Leah works under the name Flanzella and began her collage practice in childhood. Her work has evolved into an exploration of memory, identity, home, and womanhood through vintage ephemera. With a degree in Multimedia and over a decade of experience in creative design, her background seeps into her work through precisely cut pieces and often graphic compositions. Leah has been practicing professionally for seven years and became a full-time artist in 2025. In 2026, she published her first book, Cut, Paste, Create, further expanding her practice as an artist and educator. Her current work explores scale, color, simplicity, and storytelling.
