Artist’s Statement

Driven by deep reverence and curiosity for the Natural world, I thrive on meticulous study of botanical forms, and connecting with my environment.  Bittersweet was inspired by a 16th century Joris Hoefnagel illustration, the ecosystem of my springtime garden, and my own “empty nest”, as my son was leaving home for college.
